Vice President of Development
The International Fellowship of Christians & Jews has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit humanitarian organization fulfill its mission. We are presently in search of a Vice President of Development in our downtown Chicago office.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development, Marketing and Communications, this position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of direct response fundraising and donor services related to managing and developing solid donor relationships. As an integral part of this role, the VP of Development, provides hands-on leadership, identifying and implementing new direct response programs to increase income and reduce cost of fundraising, and integrating department activities with broad organizational direction. The individual in this role works closely with divisional Vice Presidents to ensure consistency of message and seamless integration between fundraising, and marketing and communications. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned senior manager in non-profit development and direct response marketing to use and develop their creative talents.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively and efficiently leading and managing the staff and units responsible for direct response fundraising and donor services and forming a cohesive department management team for the following departments and staff: Direct Response Mail, Direct Response Television/Radio, Telemarketing, Web & Social Media Online Fundraising, Donor Services, and Data Analysis.
- Ensuring best practices and quality standards are being employed on all fundraising and donor activities, contracts, etc. for these departments.
- Providing direction, oversight, and recommended approvals of all aspects of the direct response programs which include but is not limited to:
- Creative, copy, layout, production, and general logistics of all print projects and strategies;
- The production and airing of IFCJ TV programming in collaboration with IFCJ's (outsourced) Media buyer and TV Producer;
- Outbound, lapsed donor telemarketing programs.
- Collaboratively working with divisional Vice Presidents in the development of strategies and strategy implementation, and other special event planning to enhance stewardship and long term donor relationships.
- Providing leadership to direct reports with efforts toward attainment of goals and objectives.
- Managing the group's vendors, suppliers, business partners, and consultant relationships, including expenditures.
- Overseeing data analysis and reporting on fund raising performance to the Senior Vice President of Development, Marketing and Communications and the President.
- Supervising prospect research, donor stewardship, information systems, and major gift initiative reports.
- Assuring excellent donor services by departmental staff and ensures that the department's activities meet the highest standards of quality.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Nonprofit Management
- 15+ years of proven, measurable success in marketing and fundraising with at least 5+ years at the senior management level that includes integration of direct mail, TV/Radio and telemarketing with online marketing. Demonstrated success will also include strategy development, implementation, and continuous development of such strategies.
- 15+ years of demonstrated excellence in managing and developing a team of professionals.
- Exceptional track record of experience with creative development, strategic marketing planning, and donor services.
- Ability to understand and endorse the mission, vision and values of IFCJ.
- Advanced knowledge of effective direct response techniques and best practices.

Director of Content Services
The International Fellowship of Christians & Jews has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit humanitarian organization fulfill its mission. We are presently in search of a Director of Content Services, a managing editor role within our Marketing and Communications Department.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Director of Content Services is responsible for directing the IFCJ internal and external writing staff in managing and editing content used in multimedia constituent communications, educational and biblical resources, collateral materials, and special projects and needs of senior management. This role is responsible for developing and distributing content for constituent use through internal staff and business partners that serves the organization's mission.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the Content Services Department and its budget.
- Supervising the writing staff and coordinating assignments, work-flow, and editing to ensure production of copy that meets departmental and/or project needs.
- Working collaboratively with relevant departments and staff to determine their content needs, develop schedules for its production, and ensure high editorial standards for content produced.
- Guiding the development of and writing content that fits the mission and purpose of The Fellowship used in multiple media avenues including print, electronic, web, and others.
- Working collaboratively with the Director of Public and Media Relations on the strategy for obtaining stories and information needed from our Israel Office for use with donor and constituent communications, as well as other projects as assigned.
- Overseeing the archiving function to efficiently and effectively archive all audio/video, printed and digital materials produced by or written about IFCJ. This will include the monitoring of all media publications that include information about IFCJ.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism.
- 7-10 years experience working in corporate/non-profit communications, marketing, and journalism or media relations.
- At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
- At least 5 years of measurable success in managing editorial content services.
- Excellent writing and editing skills especially in the areas of news, newsletters, web content, articles for publications, Bible studies, books, and other corporate communications.
- Knowledge of and experience writing for the evangelical Christian audience.
- Highly effective verbal and written communications skills.

Director of Public and Media Relations

We are presently in search of a Director of Public and Media Relations within our Marketing and Communications Department.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Director of Public and Media Relations is responsible for the daily management and implementation of strategic communications programs that meaningfully and measurably advances public relations, communications objectives, and brand position for IFCJ. This role supervises the IFCJ communications staff in the Israel Office, external agencies, and internal staff to accomplish established goals. The Director acts as the primary liaison to the Israel Office managing the gathering and dissemination of information on programs, projects, and stories. Additionally, this role will manage global English-language media relations and collaborates with marketing, communications, development, and key vendor management and staff. The Director will serve as the point of contact for US media requests and takes part in managing the image of the organization in the media and public realm.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the public and media relations budget and staff.
- Supervising the IFCJ communications staff located in Israel as the primary U.S. liaison with the Israel Office and directing assignments, work-flow, and media production that meets departmental, project, and/or organizational objectives.
- Overseeing the gathering of information on all international programs, projects, written stories, photos and videos for use with our donor marketing and communication.
- Directing global English-language media relations through U.S. agency and Israel Office staff. Setting media relations and publicity goals in consultation with upper management. Analyzing media relations efforts, producing management reports, and making recommendations for future media plans.
- Overseeing the integration of media relations activities into overall marketing campaigns to support business objectives and collaborate with other cross-functional departments.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for media requests and for public relations firms. Working with senior management to determine appropriate response.
- Developing press releases, talking points, presentations and other communications materials for external and internal audiences as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism.
- Strong familiarity with US and Israeli cultures. Bilingual English/Hebrew fluency a plus.
- 7-10 years experience working in corporate/non-profit communications, marketing, and journalism, public, or media relations.
- At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience.

Web Fundraising Manager
The International Fellowship of Christians & Jews has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit humanitarian organization fulfill its mission. We are presently in search of a Web Fundraising Manager to help continue the growth and success of our online giving campaigns.
This position will develop online fundraising campaigns across various channels. The individual in this role will work with internal staff and external vendors to implement these campaigns by giving thorough direction in creating assets for the campaigns and in developing the necessary elements (web pages, email messaging) to effectively deliver our campaigns and to accept online gifts.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing web fundraising campaigns for all IFCJ web sites.
- Working with internal staff (e.g., Television, Planned Giving, Tour, Social Media) to secure information and set creative direction for the development of integrated fundraising projects.
- Facilitating the development of fundraising elements (email appeals, banners, donation forms, web product offers, etc.) to support campaigns across various channels.
- Leading internal review and approval process of creative and provide required assets to webmaster for publishing.
- Reviewing web content prior to publishing to confirm that it is consistent with approved design.
- Managing projects to come in on-time, on-quality and on-budget.
- Providing regular and timely updates and reports on program/project status including analysis of project performance; including financial effectiveness and success.
- Providing analysis and reports on overall web traffic, e-newsletter performance and other site traffic related measures.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications. Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Advertising Agency Account Management, Brand Management, Product Management or non-profit donor development with significant responsibilities related to web fundraising strategy development and implementation management.
- Experience in direct response and/or fundraising.
- Proven experience developing successful online marketing and fundraising campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating creative development process.
- Comfortable interacting with varying religious traditions.
- Qualities as a self-starter that is effective at working with limited direction.
- Highly effective oral and written communications skills.
